Volunteers Needed! California State Military Museum, located at 1119 2nd Street,
Old Town Sacramento, seeks help in preserving California’s rich military
history. Volunteer help is essential! Assistance is needed in the areas
of desktop publishing, research, library operations, administration, maintenance,
exhibit design and fabrication at the museum on Tuesday through Sunday

Live Animal Show on Sat., Jan. 13 from 2 – 3 p.m. at Maidu Interpretive

The State Capital Division 5 of the California Retired Teachers Association

Learning Courses
Doll Making Class. The Senior Center of Elk Grove conducts doll-making classes
for all skill levels on Mondays at 9 a.m. In these classes, attendees learn
all aspects of porcelain doll-making like pouring, slipping, assembling, cleaning,

Financial Advice. Wade Lokka, financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments,
comes to the Senior Center of Elk Grove (SCEG) every six weeks to educate seniors
about the importance of understanding their financial needs, taking steps to
obtain the solution by prioritizing and managing their finances and learning
ways to invest and save money. His next presentation at SCEG occurs on Wed.,
Jan. 17, from 10 – 11 a.m., when he shares tips on Investment Outlooks
