Food Locker Provides 520 Bags of Food
The
Cordova Community Food Locker has been providing holiday food to
the needy for the last 20 years under the leadership of director
Walter Little. This year, the food was given away at St. John Vianney
Catholic Church in Rancho Cordova for people residing in the five
contiguous zip codes.
Little said over 520 bags of food were given away, providing
meals for 3100 people. The food was donated by businesses including
service clubs, local businesses,
churches and California Emergency Food Link. At this year’s giveaway, every
child under 17 also received an age-appropriate Christmas gift.
