Spectrum Wins Award For Special Section

Spectrum staff

Spectrum has won two awards in an annual competition sponsored by the California Newspaper Advertising Executives Association, the group announced last week.

“Your Active Life,” a special section published twice a year, won third place in the “Best Special Section” category for weekly publications with circulation of 10,000 or more.

Spectrum’s “Call-A-Pro” advertising section won third place in the “General Services” category for weeklies with circulation of 10,000 or more.

The competition, open to CNAEA members, judged newspapers published from July 1, 2002, to June 30, 2003. Criteria included originality, design, results and adaptability of ideas for use by other newspapers.

Winners were announced Sept. 16 at the association’s annual conference, in Santa Monica.
