1. What do you consider the most pressing issue facing California's senior citizens?
I believe that most pressing issue facing senior citizens right now is whether or not California is the place for them to live. Many senior citizens have friends and family that live in the state, but it has become too expensive for them to continue their current lifestyle here. The recent increases in expenses such as DMV registration has made it very difficult for senior citizens across the state.

2. Do you favor or oppose amending the rates of the following taxes:
Property tax
State income tax
Vehicle license fee
Gas tax

I believe the state income and property taxes are too high. At their current rates they discourage people from moving to or remaining in California. It makes it very difficult for people to purchase a house or other good and services that would in turn jump start the ailing California economy.

3. Do you favor or oppose putting new restrictions on older drivers?
I believe the California driving laws need to some amending, but not in the area of older drivers. The privledge of driving carries with it many other things. Responsiblity is one, but independence is another. As long as person can demonstrate that they are capable behind the wheel I see no reason why something like age should effect whether or not they are given a license.

4. When putting together the state budget for the next fiscal year, would you change current levels of funding for any of the following programs:
In-Home Supportive Services
Adult Protective Services
SSI/SSP benefits
Foster Grandparents Program
Brown Bag Program
Senior Companion Program
California Commission on Aging

Right now I don't see any reason why any of these programs should be altered. I admit that I am not well educated on the background of all these programs and need to research them a bit more in depth.

5. If elected, how will you improve California for seniors and all other residents?
I truly believe my economic plan over any other will help free California from its long term contracts that are chaining us down. By getting out of these contracts California will be able to run at much more efficient rate which will allow the state to better serve the people of the golden state.
