Local Music Legends Pay Tribute to Dylan
Sal Valentino, former vocalist for the seminal 1960s band The Beau Brummels, and popular newcomer Jackie Greene will perform at "Positively 12th and K, Part 2," a tribute to the music of Bob Dylan, 7 p.m. on Jan. 29.

The show, at Marilyn's, 1177 K St., Sacramento, also features local favorites Lew Fratis and Billy Harper Jr., with a scheduled guest appearance by Mick Martin and Steve Price.

While the initial "Positively 12th and K" was performed acoustically, highlighting the early days of Dylan's music, Part 2 focuses on the time when Dylan alienated his folk following by going electric in 1965. Greene's band will take on the part of The Band and back all of the vocalists.

The concert will be recorded by DIG Music for release on compact disc later this year.

Tickets are $7 in advance at Marilyn's or by calling (916) 446-4361.
